As State Tourism Secretary, Sara led a $22.2 billion state tourism industry to its most successful year on record and when crisis hit, championed hundreds of millions of dollars in pandemic relief programs. She achieved the first legislative tourism budget increase in over a decade, and successfully launched one of the first Offices of Outdoor Recreation in the Midwest.
